Criniti Medical is pleased to advise that we are an approved vaccination provider for COVID-19 vaccines. We are happy to help provide COVID-19 immunisation for our local area and wider community.
The COVID-19 Vaccine will be available from our practice in limited quantities from April 12.
We will only be receiving 50 doses per week to begin with – hopefully we will be able to order more once locally manufactured supplies become available.
Phase 1b includes over 70s, healthcare workers, people with a chronic illness and emergency service workers (visit eligibility checker).
If you are eligible for phase 1b and want to get the vaccine, please contact our reception or let your doctor/nurse know to express your interest.
Due to limited supply, we will be offering the vaccine to eligible patients on a first come first served basis.
We will contact you directly to book an appointment when we have stock of the vaccine available.
Vaccination appointments will be available Monday-Friday from 1pm-2pm ONLY, until we start to receive more stock.
We are not opening up Hot Doc online bookings yet because of the difficulty getting enough doses of the vaccine to meet demand.
Once we are able to get more supplies of the vaccine we will open up additional times to get the vaccine. We will also probably run a clinic on Saturdays (similar to the flu clinic).
After receiving any vaccine, you may experience minor side effects. Most side effects are mild and last no more than a few days.

You can use the COVID-19 vaccine side effects symptom checker if you have concerns about any symptoms after your vaccine. The checker is also available through the National Coronavirus Helpline, 1800 020 080, 24 hours a day.
Please note, you will require two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine (AstraZeneca).
These will need to be at least 12 weeks apart.
When you receive your first jab, we will book an appointment for your second jab.
Yes, we will be receiving supplies of the new flu vaccination in late April and plan to run some flu clinics again this year.
Because of the challenges in planning and running the rollout of the COVID-19 vaccine, we are not sure of the times or dates yet.
As soon as we have more information we will let our patients know.
If you are intending on having the COVID-19 vaccine, you will need to have the flu vaccination at least 14 days apart.
